Saints & Sinners Going Solo Exhibition by Leighton McWilliams

My Thoughts

This was a great first introduction to working collaboratively with a single artist to put together their solo exhibition. Leighton's work was very narrative driven and that helped me to tell an all encompassing story about living and experiencing Las Vegas, Nevada. Though working and studying in Texas, Leighton's work about the flashy lives of Las Vegasans, the tourist traps, and the buried history there, showcased best the implications of what humans desire out of life, when life is just on the edge.
I loved that this exhibition was quite a combination between the humanitarian work described in the 3D objects juxtaposed to the black and white scaling images of buildings and rides in Las Vegas.
