My Thoughts

Printmaking is a wonderful medium, one that I as an artist enjoy learning to flexibilities with a medium focused on perfection. Therefore, I curated the works related to both method and texture.
There were so many small and large works created with the method and the process of  printmaking in mind, and though this show had many playful pieces that I knew everyone who visited would enjoy, I tried to focus the most subtly difficult pieces to the forefront so that they too could feel fluent and gentle.
I admired the works which looked detailed and yet easy at the same time. Though, knowing myself as an artist, I  recognize the amount of effort and time that went into making every print on and off the wall to feel so effortless. Woodcutting was the only sort of printmaking that ever enjoyed me as much.
